New Orleans Fishing Report 7/5/13- Fishing Red Fish and Loving it here in New Orleans
As the sun rises and sets the tides come up and fall out . We have been fishing every day. Catching red fish here in Lafitte, Louisiana just 20 miles south of New Orleans. The red fish are coming in all sizes from 13″- 30 ” Yesterday with the Pham family trip we had 4 reds that went over the 27″ mark. That’s a fun fish to fight on light tackle . We were able to catch a couple of those big boys today before the pressing weather chased us into the dock. Its been a little while since I posted a report I have been fishing a bunch and just haven’t had the chance . The red fish are biting and we are filling the ice chest up with fish . Mostly fishing with artificial (spinner baits and weed less spoons ) I have made a couple of trips with market shrimp and still ended the day with a box of fish. So no matter your skill level I can have you catching fish anyway you feel comfortable . Its been another good week of fishing red fish here on the bayous of Lafitte, Louisiana . Just 30 mins south of New Orleans . The weather has been nice and the fish are cooperating . NEW ORLEANS FISHING REPORT 6/12/13 RED FISH ACTION IS HOT !!!
I have mostly been fishing for red fish here in New Orleans right now and they are hungry. Catching red fish in New Orleans back water marsh and some of the lakes . They have been between 17″-26″ it just depends on the area that we are fishing that day . The temps here in New Orleans have been rising but fortunately for us we have had a nice breeze to keep it comfortable fishing . The fishing has been getting better everyday and I don’t look to see any change in this pattern. I want to thank all my customer who have been out with me over the last week . This week has been a good week of fishing despite the weather canceling my trips for Friday and Saturday . The last couple of days the water has cleared up and the winds have laid down. Fishing in New Orleans you never know what Ole Mother Nature is gonna bring ya . It looks to be settling into the summer pattern with fish showing up all over and the customers booking trips daily . We are catching red fish and speckle trout with a few drum and flounders being caught at times depending on how we are fishing that day . New Orleans Fishing Report 5-8-13
Ok this week’s been fun. I had some repeat customers and some new ones . Its always nice to catch up with returning customers . The week started off Thursday with an unseasonal cold front . The first couple days of the front blowing, fishing was good . After that the tide fell dramatically and mudding up the water all over making the fishing tough . Tough is tough but we are still putting fish in the box and sending customers home happy . April has been a crazy month for fishing . With the unseasonal cold fronts every week the fishing has been unpredictable ,but we are still putting fish in the box and customers are going home happy with their New Orleans fishing Charter. The weather seems to be settling down and getting into the summer pattern . The last couple days I’ve been catching plenty red fish varying in size depending on the area that I’m fishing .We have been catching some trout as well . I’m looking forward for May to be a very productive month . I’ve seen plenty bait showing up and where there’s bait there are fish to be caught. NEW ORLEANS FISHING IN APRIL 4/9/13
Its been a busy week here in New Orleans . I ‘ve been fishing every day and been having a good time with all my customers . We’ve been fishing to the weather here lately which means I’ve been fishing all over . Catching everything from bull reds to speckle trout . I took a ride out to the pass with some friends from Arkansas and hammered the bull reds 25#-30# and a few drum 15-25#s . I haven’t been able to get back out there since due to the wind but have been catching red fish and specks in the bays and marsh .
