This week has been a very good week of fishing in New Orleans except Friday . Friday was the second day of a front blowing through and the water was muddy all over . Now we did catch fish but it wasn’t easy . Saturday through yestertday the fishing has beeen great with limits of red fish and a few specks to boot . The specks have showed up a lil every where some cxaptain have been catching limits of them . My customers have been wanting reds so thats what we have been chasing . October is always a good month for fishing with red fish and speckle trout everywhere and the weather so nice its hard not to wanna fish in New Orleans at this time . This weekend was a very good weekend I started off friday and fished thu monday . With limits of red fish and some nice trout all our customers were very happy with their trips . South Carolina Boys with New Orleans Speckle Trout and Red Fish
This evening I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr Walks , Mr Cleve , and Mr James from South Carolina . We had a very productive day of fishing . Catch and release we caught 125 Keeper trout and 15 red fish . The fish were on this evening . We have been fishing with everything from shrimp on the bottom or under a cork to soft plastics . The weather has been just right 76-84 degrees with a light breeze . Today I had Mr Bruce his wife Mrs Lensey, their son Brad and his girlfriend Ashley. New Orleans fishing in September is usually kinda warm but this last week has been very pleasant and the fish have been biting good. Today we did very well with the red fish catching 25 for the ice chest and a 3# flounder. The gang was very happy with today’s catch. Yesterday Capt Roy and I had the pleasure of meeting and fishing with the crew from Dalton Carpet One . Capt Roy had Mr.John , Mr Eddie, and Mr Mike . I had Miss Whitney , Mr Chris and Mr Danny . I can’t give you a number of fish that we caught cause we were catching and releasing but I will tell yall we caught well over our limit and them some. Today was my first trip back on the water after hurricane Issac came through here. I had Dr Bryant and his son Bryant Jr on there second trip this year with me . We caught our limit of reds for 9am and then caught a bunch more that we released to catch another day. The red fish were between 20″-29″ and hungry. This weekend I had a blast with some good ole boys from Mississippi . Mr John his son Lil John, uncle John and Mr Rodney fished and caught limits of red fish with me for 2 days With 2 days of limits of red fish they headed home with an ice chest full if file-ts . What a great bunch of guys to fish with Thanks guys I look forward to seeing y’all in October . I had a trip For Monday but with tropical storm Issac threatening we called it off. Well its been a busy couple of weeks and I haven’t had a chance to get any reports in .
