Louisiana fishing charter fans are probably wondering why we haven’t posted lately.
Its been a while since I last posted a report and I’m sorry for that . I have been fishing quite a bit . We had a lil down time with Tropical Storm Lee pushing some water up and flooding the town I live in . Not a lot of water but just enough to flood the streets in the low areas. If you have never fished down here in south Louisiana after a hurricane or tropical storm you don’t know what your missing. The storms push salt water in and turns up the gulf so the fish push into the inland waters that we fish and its non stop action. The red fish have been schooled up and they are nice ones between 20-27″ The weather has taken a turn for the better the humidity is dropping and so has the temp. September is a good month to fish and October is even better. If you would like to book a trip to get in on this action contact me and lets get on the water and have a great day of fishing.

The reds have been in the average of 16-22 ” with some coming in over 25″ . The specks have been 12-18 ” fish and have been catching 50 -100 in a lil while . I have a couple days off as of right now but all that can change with a phone call or 2. If you would like to get in on some of this fishing action down in Lafitte Louisiana give me a call or email and COME FISH A NAWLINS GOOD TIME .

Monday I had the pleasure of fishing with some guys that work for FED EX in Tenn . It started off to be a rough morning when I woke with a stomach bug . Not being able to find anyone in such short notice I had to go or cancel . I dont like to cancel . I made the call and off to catch some fish we went. With the full moon being up all night the fish were a lil sluggish in the morning . I made some tackle changes and it made the difference. Ended the day with 14- reds , 12 drum , a trout , and a flounder in the box to take back to Tenn. Mr Charles , Mr Chuck ,Jr and Mr Scott loved to fish and do some competitive joking around . Thanks guys for the fun day on the water . The weather was nice a lil breezy but it kept the temps comfortable. I’m back on the water Friday . I have to catch up on the last week or so of my fishing reports . Its been hard to get to the computer to do em, been fishing so much. The fishing has been good very good . We have been catching limits of reds and some specks when the conditions allow. Here in the last week we have been catching a bunch of specks. The wind has been calm in the morning and you can see the shrimp jumping and the birds diving . SPECKS are there. The red fish have been very good as well . It could be the first spot or have to move around a little to find em but once ya do they are schooled up. The red fish have been in the 16- 29″ range and the specks 12- 20″. I have a couple days off then back on the water . I wanna thank everybody for the fun times I have been having on the water with y’all . I have been fishing mostly with market shrimp due to the wind and water color but they have been producing some good numbers in fish . On average we have been coming back with 15-20 fish mostly reds . I wanna thank Mr . Aurthur his wife Nan and son Adler from New Orleans 4/25. Al , Rob , Leif , and Brett from Alberta, Canada 4-26. Today was a good day of fishing . I headed out with light winds and the temps in the 60’s . When I reached the bay the birds were diving and the trout were under em. I had Mr. Brad and his son Tyler from Tennessee fishing with me today. Who were some good guys and good fisherman. After chasing the birds till 9 am we had 77 trout and went look for some reds . At first we caught a few nice drum and some small reds but later found some good reds in the 16-24″ range we caught 17 reds . All the fish were released to be caught another day. I had a great time guys Thanks for the fun day of fishing and I hope to see y’all again soon.
Today we had to wait back for the weather to pass that was in front of a cold front. Around 11:30 we were able to head out and see how we could do. With the wind picking up and the temps dropping we knew it was gonna be a rough day.,but Mr Dan, Mr Mike, Mr. Chris , and Mr Gary were all ready to give it a shot. We hit quite a few spots with lil luck in most but ended the day with a mixed bag of 10 fish .(red fish ,drum ,sheep head ,flounders and catfish) the only thing we didn’t catch was a speckle trout. We did catch a few fish that were just under the size limit so that’s a good sign for the months to come. Its a lil hard to find fish in those conditions and if you haven’t had a fair day of fishing you just haven’t fished enough . The fishing was slow but we had a good time. Thanks guys for the fun couple of days . I have been fishing mostly new customer and have been enjoying meeting everybody I look forward to seeing y’all again . April I have quite a few people booked who I have fished before and I’m looking forward to fishing with them again. Thanks to all who COME FISH A NAWLINS GOOD TIME.
Today we had an epic battle between the bull reds and Mr. Gary , Mr. Chris ,Mr. Dan ,and Mr. Mike It was a tough one to call but I think the guys had the upper hand after landing 40 bull reds and 8 drum . The fish wereon fire. I don’t know how many double and triple hook ups we had but it was plenty and it kept me on my toes all day . As the day progressed and the tide strenghtened the fights got harder and longer . This was their first time ever fishing South Louisiana and I thing I might of spoiled em . They will be fishing with me for the next 2days . Looks like the weather may hold us back a lil while tomorrow but once it passes we’re gonna go fish the inland marshes and bayous for reds .
